Lawyers for Secure Immigration is an immigration advocacy organization composed of immigration lawyers and other members of the legal community. We are proudly pro–secure immigration and want to see Canada continue to welcome newcomers from all corners of the globe — people who will integrate into our society and go on to support and strengthen our democratic values and way of life.
We are dedicated to protecting the integrity of Canada’s immigration and citizenship systems so that they operate effectively, fairly, lawfully, and predictably for those who seek to make Canada their home.
Lawyers for Secure Immigration is committed to upholding the rule of law and to ensuring that immigration and citizenship processes are comprehensive, reinforce Canadian democratic values, and align with Canada’s security priorities as well as its economic and humanitarian goals. We believe that protecting the rights and well-being of Canadian citizens, permanent residents, and all who live here is paramount — and essential to maintaining public support for Canada’s generous immigration and citizenship programs.
We also support the ongoing development and implementation of rigorous vetting measures for all applicants seeking entry to, or citizenship in, Canada. We believe that every newcomer has a role to play in building a safe, tolerant, and inclusive society for everyone within our borders.
